FINAL DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS APRIL 2ND!

set up your castle branch account!

Look out for an email for an invite from Castle Branch with directions on how to set up your account. Once received, you will need to use Castle Branch to submit the remaining externship requirements.

The Propel team will go over how to set up your account and upload requirements during your Propel Professional Development class.

request your immunization records

All fellows are required to submit updated immunization records that include proof of the following:

  • Varicella/chickenpox (2 doses)

  • MMR (2 doses)

  • Hep B (typically 3 doses)

  • TDap (1 dose within last 10 years)

The easiest way to find your immunization record is to request it from your state’s Health Department. Use the links in this section to request your records. If you have lived in multiple states you may need to request your records from multiple states.

You must upload your updated immunization record(s) by February 19th

obtain Proof of Health Insurance

This is required for Philly Fellows only. Our Philadelphia employer partners sites require proof of active health insurance for all employees and fellows participating in clinical externships. If you do not have health insurance, begin taking steps to sign up using the links in this section. Your coach can also support you in signing up for health insurance during your first 1:1 coaching session.

Philadelphia based fellows will need to upload proof of active health insurance by January 15th.

STEPS TO TAKE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE

Start to talk with your family and do research on your options to secure coverage. We understand that finding and paying for health insurance can be a challenging process. Please consider the following resources:

  • Healthcare.gov: This is the open marketplace available through the Affordable Care Act. Open enrollment runs from Nov 1 - Jan 15th.

  • State-based exchanges: This website lists the states that have their own insurance exchanges as well. Scroll down on the page to identify if your state has a program.

If you continue to face challenges finding a health insurance plan that works for you, please reach out to your coach or contact AUexternship@nl.edu for support in exploring options available through NLU.
