Rafet Abdeljabbar is Propel’s Senior Director of People and Culture. He leads our People strategy—overseeing everything from Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning to People Operations, Performance Management, Leadership Development, and Employee Experience. His work is grounded in the belief that building inclusive, people-centered systems is essential to creating lasting impact for the young people we serve.

Before joining Propel, Rafet was the Managing Director of Talent at Public Preparatory Network, where he focused on advancing equity, closing opportunity gaps, and fostering workplaces where people can thrive. Throughout his career, he has helped mission-driven organizations scale operations, improve performance, and navigate change with clarity and compassion.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Rafet earned his degree in Adolescent Education and English from SUNY Oneonta. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY—where he still lives today—Rafet’s lived experience continues to shape his deep commitment to equity, access, and community.
