Juanita Zerda has twenty years of experience in education, housing and community development, health and human services, and workforce training and education fields. She has expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, and is committed to addressing issues of disparity and disproportionality in communities and systems. She most recently served as an independent consultant leading strategic program implementation projects for the Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium and UTEC. Prior to that, she served as the Chief Program Officer at the Rennie Center for Education Research and Policy. In addition, she has held management positions at The Rensselaerville Institute, the Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development, and the Commonwealth Corporation. Juanita has also worked at the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, and at the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bogota, Colombia. Junita is fluent in English, Spanish and French. She holds a J.D. from Los Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia and an M.A. in Philosophy from Boston College.
